Stephanie Haynes is the current President of the Hotel & Lodging Association of Greater Houston. Prior to her current position, she was the Director of Programs & Events for HLAGH and was responsible for 20 membership events annually.
Ms. Haynes career spans 30 years in the hospitality industry and related fields. Stephanie attended the University of North Texas while working at United Inns. During this time, she held several positions in Operations and Convention Services. Using her BBA in Marketing, she moved to the Krisam Group where she honed her skills in sales and event planning.
Stephanie moved to the international market with Meeting Protocol where her responsibilities included organization of conferences for a base of international pharmaceutical and clinical clients. She returned home to Texas to become Project Manager of Events for Excel Communications. Stephanie planned multi-day annual conferences for up to 8,000 attendees. She was recognized by Excel receiving the company’s Circle of Stars denoting her as one of the top 10 employees of their 1,700 associates.
Stephanie currently serves several board and committees for a variety of organizations such as the Texas Hotel & Lodging Association as well as Houston First and the Greater Houston Convention & Visitors Bureau.
